King Kukulele Presents: Tiki Taix XL Friday December 28th!!

Thessaly Lerner, The Ukulady (www.theukulady.com) will share her unique brand of comic songwriting accompanied by her ukulele, the tikiest of all instruments. She is a performer, writer, director, and voiceover talent. She has performed all over the country and internationally and will make a stop at Tiki Taix to help celebrate the holidays. She has written numerous solo performance theatrical shows that have gotten rave reviews and she’ll be sharing her talents with Tiki Taix for the first time.

ALSO

DJ Chickenleather is an Echo Park Film center staff member, Kill Radio personality, and sound maverick. He’ll present rare videos and performance clips by local and international musical acts from the Summer Ukulele Showcase held at the Japanese American National Museum as well as some other surprises. We’ll also talk to DJ Chickenleather about his radio show, where it can be found, and how he puts his show together.

AND

King Kukulele and the Friki Tiki Trio will perform a special Holiday set with some Merry Christmas songs Hawaiian style. Riki Kon Tiki and Malahini Marc will also be giving the audience some recent tracks from the Live At Trader Vic’s CD and together we’ll all say goodbye to 2007 and hello to 2008. Last chance to request a song in 2007!
