Of course I went to band camp, and Orchestra camp, and all that jazz...and spent 4 years in marching band (French horn, marimba) and the stage band (Bass, vibes)....nutty! as completely dorked out as can be! I loved and hated every minute of it.

They are also the the first inductees because the Hall of Fame was only instituted this year. The selection process has been difficult with so many great artists, past and present, to choose from but the selection committee has made its choice knowing that only a limited number of players could be inducted in any one year. However the guiding principle has been that each and every one of them has had a great and profound influence upon the playing and popularity of the steel guitar in Europe. See This, click HERE
