Check out auction # 270204722663 This 4-page menu is in GOOD condition and it measures 15-1/2 inches high by 10 inches wide. An amazing piece of history, it contains drink listings from the OUTRIGGER ROOM or the Hawaiian Village Room recommending the Mai Tai, Sam's Gold Cup, the Scorpion served in a shell, the Marina Grog, and the Boo-Loo. The drink prices are amazing, $1.75 for the Mai Tai, $1.75 for the Gold Cup, and the Scorpion for 4 is listed for $4.75! Don't forget the APPETIZERS with the Fresh Lobster going for .95 and the Fresh Lobster Supreme at a mere $1.95. A whole Cracked Crap with Sam's Special Sauce is $3.35. On to the MAIN COURSE featuring SAM'S DE LUXE DINNERS. A sampling includes Today's Catch Baked fish Polynesian Style for $1.95. The Broiled Swordfish Steak, Center Cut, from the Channel Islands is $2.95. Of course you can splurge to impress your date and get the Whole Broiled Lobster with Drawn Butter for $4.95. The back page has a wonderful history of Sam's Sea Food and Hawaiian Village Family Restaurant that has been a world famous landmark since 1923. It includes a photo of the first restaurant. It also has a photo of the building after it was remodeled and talks about the fire that destroyed the new building at 3 a.m. - February, 17, 1959. A quote says, "Without the fortitude and courage of the Katsaris family, Sam's Sea Food Restaurant would have faded into pleasant memories." The place was rebuilt and has a photo of where it stands today. The restaurant closed down for awhile and, by popular demand, opened again in late 2007. It is still located on Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach, California. |

Thanks for the corrections. I was going by what it said in the menu, not realizing that it hadn't been a restaurant that entire time. Then I thought it had re-opened in time for a new year's party - my bad. |
