Something about Ports OCall??

The two war clubs and the lil guy in the rounded frame are from OA...they could be old, they could be new....what was that nouveaux Tiki-ish place that opened in the early 2000s in Playa Del Rey called again? Maybe they are from there...

They looked old in person.

But I don't know tiki like you's know tiki.

Might be one of those " found a Picasso inside my thrift store painting" .....things.

you never know.

What about the other stuff you ar showing?

Ben, since this thread does not have enough pictures of you yet, here's my photo of you from last Tuesday in the O.A. back room, conferring with THE ELDERS !

(You can just drag it onto your desk top.) :)

LT

I stopped by late this morning and the tiki was gone, but the war club and other items are still available. Judy told me she got a call from an interested buyer up in LA on Friday night or Saturday morning after the post went up; he drove down yesterday and picked it up. He also made offers (about $250 each iirc) on the war club and a smaller tiki (which I think was a double Marquesan) which the seller declined. Very cool stuff to see first-hand. I did manage to pick up a few mugs. She has a small but nice selection of Tiki Farm pieces; a few had a striking resemblance to the OP.

I had a hard day at the office today. Doing a ceiling upside down with 10,000 bamboo poles that are supposed to be straight, but are all crooked of course! It's a stress!

This just [i] made my day!!!!!

 !!!!

( actually I was mad cause they ate all the ribs without me!!

p.s.

Here's the new Tiki Farm display ( partialy set up) at

Judy Swain's BAMBOO 2U in Lucadia, Ca. 760-943-6284

that LOLtiki was talkin' bout.

I'm glad for her that someone got that tiki.

She's also renting spaces now for artists/ biz's who need "store space".

Contact her. Kinda like an antique mall but with Tiki type stuff.

Ben should re-up those directly to Tiki Central. Right now they're all hosted on Shutterfly.
