Just stumbled upon this band today -- Los Tiki Phantoms!

Goofy but fun

Their cd is available for download but then you will miss out on the punch out Tiki card with the front insert and the back of the cd has a cool shot of some smokin' Spanish Tiki mugs.....check out this youtube action....a cover of Aha's - Take On Me!!!???

They were toying with the idea of coming over for Tiki Oasis 8 and a tour, but decided to stay home and record a new cd.

I love that cover! Derrumbe means collapse. Also, derrumbe is the nickname for a type of Mexican "magic" mushroom, the Psilocybe mexicana.

I hate it!
The record is a Mexico only edition.
Go for it! (and bring me a copy, pleeeeaaase)

Ok, so where do I get some.

My Phantom Surfers and Death Valley need some company, seriously....

Vonratnick, Australia is long, long way from Spain, but check their myspace
Usually they share lots of live recordings there and can find info about distributors.

I haven't bought from these guys yet, but they have a good selection.

(I'm on my way to Germany tomorrow so I'm going to see what I can find at local shops before I resort to ordering internationally.)

Hola a todos! Zeta, Naufrago, cómo estamos?

Los Tiki Phantoms are a very good band, and nice guys too. Very intense shows, as they come from a metal-hardcore background. They're going to release their second album soon. Los Derrumbes are good too.

There is a good surf music scene in Spain. There are many good bands like Los Coronas, The Imperial Surfers or The Vibrants.

But if you wanna feel a real spanish feeling, you must listen to http://Los, from Valencia. They released a 7" with Slovenly records with a cover of the Spiderman theme and also a cover of Mi Carro, probably the most deep spanish song one can imagine. And they just released their first album, Spanish Bandito, with the new label Discos Jaguar. You must get it.

The Longboards from the North of Spain, are very good.
2 cds.

That would be nice.
Es triste pedir, pero más triste es robar.

I dig the surf music from Spain and already listend to tracks by Los Pataconas. They come close to the original US bands like the Ventures, Surfaris or Dick Dale. Unfortunately, bands like Los Pataconas are only known locally.

Thank you. The Phantoms can hold their skulls high as they play hot surf. Always good to hear more of the holy music.
