I am an avid admirer and collector of cool things from the past.
I am quite sure more then one famous person eat of of this plate
at one time or another.Click on the link that says Chi Chi and read
it top to bottom-WOW what a place !
All the famous acts that performed at this place.
Check out the menu with the Edgar Leeteg image on the cover.I guess
they didn't copyright or trade mark images back then, cuz Leeteg was
pissed about getting ripped off, as mentioned in the story.Check out
the cool menu Jerry Lewis is holding with the Hina Rapa image on the
cover as he jokes with Irwin Schuman the owner.Quite a good job the Palm
Springs historical society about this famous place that eventually
fell to the demise of a fricken shopping center on Palm Canyon Drive.
Oh what happened to those good ole days of nostalgia, style and class?
Enjoy,
Trader Bill

A link worth reading and saving .I would say without a doubt more
famous stars, mobsters, celebrities, musicians, etc. frequented the original
Chi Chi Starlite Room then any other famous polynesian tiki place you can
think of put together. The $20 million a picture -Jim Carey comedian turned
film star -" biggest inspiration" and copies many of his mannerisms is non
other then the great Jerry Lewis.I would kill for that menu!
I was outbid on the plate.
