Guest Carver Day At The House Of Buzz

Pages: 1 7 replies

This was an awesome day. Casual, laid back, no headaches. Just carving.

It was a little hard to concentrate with so much beauty to take in.

Here's the partial line up of guest carvers who made appearances.

Cammo. Can't wait to see how this one takes shape.

4WDTiki and his chainsaw.

Mieko teaching someone how to carve over the phone. (She's pretty amazing.)

Buzzy was a fine host. And see, we couldn't call it a Chop because Buzzy was actually carving.
(Bob's in the background hanging out in the chainsaw zone.)

I think we wore Kiva out.

Didn't get any pictures of Bowana or Zaya, but I know other people had cameras.

I was even able to finish my piece by the end of the day.

Thanks again, Buzzy.

I am the other one with the camera! The good thing about that is it means I'm not in any of the pictures! Muhahahaha! :)

The Lord and Master of the House of Buzz:

This Tiki is much bigger than it appears as portrayed on Buzzy's thread.

I believe this carving is meant to be a very elaborate tool holder. Good idea, Buzzy. I think I'll make one of those too. Can you send me some specs?

Cammo's latest. Looking good, dude!

Cammo telling Buzzard his deepest, darkest secrets.

Kate exploring a new direction from her usual work.

A very friendly creation it is. Go, Lefty!

4WD in his signature carving position. That's how he is able to produce his work in that unique style of his. Pay attention, kiddies!

Mieko's rock steady fingers and eagle eyesight burning the tattooing onto another fab pendant design.

Go, Righty!

The Million Dollar View from The House of Buzz:

Buzzy really did clean up his yard, but look at his neighbor's! Sheesh!

Oh...wait a minute...

At the end of the day, 4WD had made much progress.

Kate dang near finished hers. (except for the finish)

Thanks Buzzy! Guest Carver Day at The HOB was a good time.

It looks like you had a great time! I'm sorry I had to leave so early. Here are my pictures from the early morning yard sale...

You don't see a live carving yard sale very often!

Buzzy's bait to lure the tiki collector.

After the sale was over the fun started just in time for me to have to leave! :( I did manage to get a few pictures from the early morning carving.

Kate, this could be a "before" picture of your carving. Congratulations on finishing it!

Cammo in the workshop

Bill (4WDtiki) and Buzzy checking out Cam's work.

See you next time!

Zaya

I really missed out, man. Spent the day packing and working on things.

I traded a tiki for a 1969 P200 Rallysport Vespa for my wife for mothers day. I basically got $2000 for the tiki I carved at the PIFA. Otherwise, I would have been there.

Musubi making party at Miekos house, next Saturday?

"1969 P200 Rallysport Vespa"

Holy Cow! (can we say that on TC?) That sounds cooool. Post some pics, guy.

And we just saw Iron Man at the theater, but it felt like Robert Downey was doing a watered-down imitation of Billy the Crud the whole time. It's a real motorhead type of flick.

Buzzy's Chop was primo. How come San Diego TCers don't show up for these Chops? What the heck, come for a while, leave whenever ya want! We won't bite.

We don't?

Great sign Kate. Is it for sale?

Depends on how cute it is after it's stained and painted. :D
