Not tiki per se, but...it's in a tiki bar, so there! On Wednesday, May 21st at 7:00PM, Forbidden Island is pleased to welcome St. George Spirits Distiller Lance Winters as he discusses the history & craft of Absinthe. Lance is the mind behind the first legally produced Absinthe in the United States since 1912, made right here in Alameda. Lance will discuss the complex array of herbs & botanicals that go into making this unique and legendary spirit. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to meet the distiller and taste this very special spirit. Admission is just $9 and includes absinthe tasting. Darn! I knew it was a mistake to make plans in the city on a Wednesday night! If there weren't other people involved in my immovable plans, I would so be at FI for what looks like an informative and fun event! |

Tonight! Bring a light jacket or sweater- we're gonna enjoy some fresh air and do it on the patio! |

Hey Martin: Thanks for another great and informative event. Lance and the crew from St. George distillery were awesome. They were so approachable and answered all of my questions. I definitely need to visit St. George Distillery. When and what will be the next event at FI? |
