i just wanted to say thanks to all the carvers here.

i used to think of myself as "self taught". i didn't study under anyone or go to school so i thought i learned most of what i know on my own. i've actually learned that i gained a great deal of knowledge from the carvers and artists on this site. everyone has been very open and honest with their experience and the things they've learned through their own carving lives.

i really appreciate it and want to thank you all.

Me too! I probably couldn't have done it without finding this site and especially without all the great people and carvers helping out.

This is a great forum and it is also a great sentiment to express
appreciation to all contributors. Peeps are really cool about
supporting other carvers, and that's especially important at the
beginning level. I've dug into a number of carving sites, not just
"tiki" and this one has the best range of talent and the nicest
contributors. At least most of the time:-)
