the return of the chicklet moai!! in metal.

i'm making some of these in pewter and silver.

the pewter ones are coming out now. only $20US plus $3 shipping. (gas money)

silver will be soon, you can sign up here or PM me for a sterling silver one.

all of the casting was done by me. (and the messy clean up.)

i can also make necklaces out of them for a little more. let me know.

cool!

mahalo!!

I normally don't do this sorta thing, but those are fanfriggintastic! Well done! And a good price fer hand finished pieces. ¡Muy excelente!

Any idea how much for sterling at all?

P

thanks, woof. i'm glad you like them.

P

after doing a little research i'm going to set a price on the silver pieces.

they will be $45US. they weigh about an ounce and take an hour to cast and finish.

gold ones will be available by custom order. i plan on making a mold with the back hollowed out to cut down on the weight and cost.

those will be priced based on the price of gold.

resin ones will be $500 now as they are no longer available. :D

Superb metalwork!
There is noting like making little metal objects - they will be around forever, And you get to imagine who will be holding your artwork 1000 years from now. The Metal Heads rule!

Henrik

beautiful stuff, perry. I love my resin one, but I think that carving really looks much better cast in metal. Are they too heavy for earings? 'cause they'd make a great pair.

woopie!!!! Who's the first taker?!?!?!?

P

thanks, guys.

i really wish they'd work as earrings. unfortunately they're facing one way. i think it may look odd with one facing back into the hair. maybe i'll do another one facing the other way. i wish i knew how to do that without carving it.

they may be too heavy in the white metals right now. i could always do a custom cast.

P

well, i got a little compulsive with the first batch. they're all pretty smooth and look like chrome. they're actually real cool. i still want to do other finishes.

there's still some of these available and i'll be making more. they're fun.

here's a pic of my dirty hand from all the microscopic metal dust.

P

bump

P

bumpity bump bump.

i'm still making these. they're just fun to make and feel good in your hand.

everyone says that their friends love them.

P

still available . . .

Cool stuff Perry, When I worked for the jewelry company, most of my stuf went to pewter but it was farmed out to NE companies, I just did the masters. These guys look nice.
