New Museum in NOLA

Read an article in today's paper that New Orleans is opening a new museum July 21...The Museum of the History of the American Cocktail. Of course, New Orleans is the home of Don the Beachcomber. I hope they recognize him in the museum. One more stop to make on one of my NOLA weekends :)

Actually, they were open in New Orleans once before, but Katrina pushed them out and for a time, the museum was in Vegas. But it looks like it will now have a new permanent home in the French Quarter.

That was a Dr Cocktail project, I lent him a bunch of stuff it. When Katrina hit, it luckily was spared since it was exhibited in the French Quarter. Rest assured that Don will get his due again, the Beachbum is good friends with the Doctor too, this is what the Poly pop showcase looked like:
