Is this the Rip tides from the 1980's from OC reunited or is this another
surf band ?

I was wondering the same thing. I used to know one of the guys in the riptides.

Hey Jeff is the Riptides my brother?

The guy I new went by either Ed White or Ed Fife.

Lead singer was Randy .An old girl friend of mine Kelly Stock used to manage them in 1985 ,
and another friend of mine promoted them.He got them air play on KROQ and a gig
playing back up for the Stray Cats at the Hollywood Paladium.Ah the good ole days.
They played at my surprise birthday party back in the day.

Sorry, 1961surf. I was in a Christian heavy metal band called "Mercenary" in the 80's. There is nothing better than God Rock to bring in the girls.
