They're filling a huge parking lot with sand and setting up a screen, drive-in style. The double bill will be GIRL HAPPY (1965) starring Elvis and ATTACK OF THE CRAB MONSTERS (1957), starring crab monsters. Plus! Live surf/lounge music by THE MOON-RAYS, who recorded my theme song "Thrillville"

UPDATE TO THRILLVILLE AT B MOVIE CELEBRATION:
HELP ME BRING TIKI-MONSTER MADNESS TO THE MIDWEST!!
Dig: here is my updated and revised Thrill-bill for THE B MOVIE CELEBRATION
in Franklin, Indiana, September 26-28. Both of my nights will take place at a
place called Franklin Beach, being turned into 'THE WORLD'S
LARGEST BEACH PARTY!" The major program change is they couldn't get the originally
scheduled Elvis flick "Girl Happy" due to rights issues, so instead
co-billing with Roger Corman's ATTACK OF THE CRAB MONSTERS is the original
Steve McQueen-Burt Bacharach sci-fi classic, THE BLOB!! Apparently my outdoor
setup will be right across the street from an old movie theater that looks
just like the one in this movie! The B Movie Celebration is an exhaustively
comprehensive three day multi-media blowout organized by BILL DEVERS with
many different genre movies, genre celebrity appearances (Lloyd Kaufman,
Greydon Clark, Stuart Gordon, Tom Savini, Jim Wynorski) and events going on
simultaneously at various venues throughout Franklin. Our pals MR LOBO AND
THE QUEEN OF TRASH will be hosting various films elsewhere around town as
MONICA TIKI GODDESS and I host the "beach parties" (complete program info for
those below.) And as I said, we will finally be dancing to the "Thrillville"
theme live as THE MOON-RAYS join us on Saturday night!
