The Ill Fated Leaky Tiki Restaurant in La Habra, CA...

Closed for cockroach infestation...

I noticed the Restaurant Closure notice in today's Orange County Register - Here's the web listing.

Apparently the place has been around a while, as this ad shows the City tried to shut it down "again" back in 1998.

Anybody know anything about this place? Is it a "legit" (if not entirely safe or sanitary) Tiki Establishment? Or just a dive with the name "Tiki" on it? A search of TC shows nothing.

Uh, doesn't sound very 'tiki', from that 1998 article. Pool tables, juke box, a tavern with over 100 police calls in a year!

Noticed the topic, because "The Leaky Tiki" is what we named our tiki decorated (and water tight) houseboat. So far, police-call free, but we're not done trying.
