Trader Vic Alley

Earlier this month I was in San Francisco and stayed at the Andrews Hotel. When we got there I was amazed to see that the alley right next to us was 'Trader Vic Alley'. I inquired and was told that's where the original Vic's was. Whaddaya know about that?
