I used to spend weekend's at Gilbert's with a friend who had his sailboat slipped there.. Traveling south from Miami, it is located just before the first draw bridge on the way to the Keys. There are some hints of a possibility it at one time had a Polynesian theme. In the restaurant area, there are handcut Moai in the old woodwork/moldings as I recall (poorly executed). Will have to look to see if I ever took pictures and will post if so, but they weren't even picture worthy. 107900 Overseas Highway, Key Largo, FL 33037 Current Resort website: Thought I'd ask around and do a little online digging to learn more.. |
