Pirates, Mermaids and Mermdudes, lend me your ears (not your "rears", your "ears"!)
The conch is ready to blow for the commencement of this Saturday's Lavapalooza at the downtown Hilton Atlanta! Trader Vic's presents their annual poolside luau featuring performances by Tongo Hiti, surf band The Surge, Richard Claunan and Hula Halau Kapilialoha, Dames Aflame a Go Go, MonkeyZuma, DJ Swivel plus special guest Derek Yaniger. Festivities include limbo contest, raffle prizes, hula lessons, fresh lei-making, tiki carving, world champion ice-carving and water ballet. Feast on suckling pig and spare ribs from Trader Vic's Chinese ovens and slurp down your favorite Trader Vic's cocktails. Proceeds benefit the Atlanta Food Bank. Party starts at 1pm on the Hilton patio and at 7:30pm, the pool closes and the after-party begins in the Trader Vic's Lounge where DJ Swivel, Tongo Hiti and Dames Aflame a Go Go rock into the night.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door (includes all day pass with food/drink ticket plus access to the after-party). Tickets for just the after-party are $15.
