Here's a selection of stuff I've done over the years BEFORE my transition into the wonderful world of tiki. As you'll readily notice, this first batch is, with two exceptions, all graphite on paper.

Soon I'll post a bunch of my color stuff -- mostly watercolors, tempera on black poster-board, and some acrylic. But, for now, it's all B & W...

First is what I call...

..."Self Portrait"

"Meow"

Portrait of my wife, Christine

Marcel Marceau, signed to me by him (I think I was about 16 when I did this)

Salvador Dali wearing a crown of sausages

Edgar Allan Poe

Eddy once again

And again (this one is scratch-board)... All three of these were used in the A & E Biography episode 'The Mystery Of Edgar Allan Poe'

A girl I went to grade-school with (done when I was about 13)

Same girl a couple years later

A former girlfriend

Another former girlfriend

Same girl as a faery -- later re-invented as my tiki painting "Afterglow"

My version of Leonardo Da Vinci's self-portrait

Pretty self-explanatory!

Charcoal life-study

Don Quixote

Venus and Adonis -- based on a famous sculpture

Nude study of a former girlfriend -- this later became my tiki painting "Island Enchantment" (Not the same girl as in "Afterglow", though they look similar)

Nude study

Ditto

And ditto again

Portrait of a friend

"Hello, Clarice"

Michael Crawford as 'The Phantom Of The Opera'

Peter Karrie as 'The Phantom'

Ditto

Marilyn

Richard Chamberlain with my Mom (Eleanor Parker) in Tennessee Williams' "Night Of The Iguana'

Well, there's a sampling of my black & white stuff, in no particular order, and covering a span of about 40 years! (Eeeek! I'm gettin' OLD!)

I'll post more pieces in the days to come, but this is a good start!

Thanx fer lookin'!

Cheers & Mahalos! :drink: :tiki:

TT

Some pretty good stuff there Paul.. Is the first girlfriend out of prison yet? She looks like trouble!

Thanks for the props, Trav!

And that's pretty astute of you there, about that first girlfriend!

No prison-time, as it turns out, but she was indeed trouble (and troubled) and -- are you ready for this? -- she actually MARRIED a PRISON GUARD!
