help ....is this ivory?

anybody seen anything like this before ?

I think the test is to heat a pin with a match
then try to put the pin into the "ivory"
Do this in a spot that won't be seen if it goes in.
If it burns and goes in it is not ivory.

The hot pin trick will only prove that its plastic...

You'll get the same result for Ivory with Bone, Whales Tooth or even Narwhal Horn/Tusk.
