In loving memory of our beloved conch.

Do Not Weep For Me

Do not weep for me,
For I have loved and been loved by my ohana,
By those I loved who loved me back.
For I never knew a stranger, only friends.
Do not weep for me. I am not gone.

We will remember you lovingly, oh Conch!

A precious Conch from us has gone
A voice we loved is temporarily stilled
A place is vacant in our home
Which never can be filled.
God in His wisdom has recalled
The boon his love had given
And though the body slumbers here
The Conch is safe in Heaven.

We loved you, Conch. We always will.

Rest in Peace.

The Conch is not dead. It lives in my jungle paradise, after it was sterilized of course. I'm going to Oceanside this week, do you want me to bring it? It longs for your lips.

I'd like to add that islanders prounce it with the hard 'k' sound (instead of a soft 'ch' sound) at the end of conCH.

There's always one "funny guy" on the bus.

( I mean the prankster)

The legacy of the Conch lives!

Vic, PM me - but I think you should keep it.

Goodbye, oh conch-y.
You will be missed.

& conch-y during happier days.....

The Konk was never down inside, it was on top. Are you kidding? So it will remain here in my jungle. One day we'll play "Hunt the Konk".

More Conch memories ~

Suzanne Conch-ing Out!

Another happy Conch memory.

Duet at the Hukilau this year:

Here's another from Hukilau '08.......I'm not honestly not sure if this is conch-y, or friend of conch-y, from the duet picture above, as it's from the same evening

Oh, that's Conch-y all right. I remember having a big conversation about how well Conch-y played in relation to other conches with King K after he tried Conch-y out. King K really played Conch-y well!

I am touched that so many of the ohana have found it in their hearts to remember our beloved Conch with photos like this.

I love you, Conch!!!
