a plush project for the weekend

Here's a little project we worked on over the weekend.
I fancied doing a tikiracer look at the plush tiki toy.

Titled "Feltu-Hiva"
This lost little tiki has been over grown by the paradise jungles of the Marquesas Islands.

But once the vines and leaves were cleared we discover this little [12"] fella carved from the finest felt stone.

A small behind photo...

Here's the dvd special features section - making off!

Marking up the felt

Choosing just the right stitch

My beautiful wahine works wonders with her craft skills

The packaging cover illustration under way

The final painting

I'm really pleased with the final piece. Thanks for stopping by.

That is adorable! Will they be made available to the rest of us?

Agreed! Super cute. I'm going to have to try my hand at making my own, if you wouldn't mind me borrowing your idea?

Thanks for the great feedback.

Hey Jen - we might do a very small number [5 or so], depending on the interest.

Haole'akamai - of course do your own tiki plush, this is my twist, but I'm not the first by a long stretch.
