Trader Vic's reference in the strangest place!

I just read this passage in Jackie Collins' 1975 novel "The World is Full of Divorced Women," which takes place in London:
"They went to Trader Vic's and feasted on spare ribs and Indonesian lamb roast. Navy Grogs were the drink of the evening, and Cleo soon felt that very special glow that one gets from good food, interesting company and turn-on booze."
