Psycho Tiki D posted this picture in the The Just Great Matchbooks Thread and in Collecting Tiki Matchbooks, I’ve checked old Orange County and Newport Beach phone books and found nothing but they don’t always cover the Corona Del Mar area. Anyway it looks like Trader Island is long gone and it has been for a long time.

Though I cannot find it in the thread, my visual memory recalls this Tridacna clam shell logo also being used for this place:

..so either the matchbook company was just lazy, or the two joints were related.

Soooo, was this place related to the one in San Bernadino?
