Details: Floridiana Festival & Highwaymen Artist Show Saturday, February 7, 2009 - 10 am to 5 pm Historic Gulfport Casino (southern St. Petersburg) 5500 Shore Boulevard South, Gulfport Info: 727-321-8454 or http://www.hulahula.biz The Sunshine State's largest show & sale of vintage Florida souvenirs and memorabilia, from flamingo figurines to alligator ashtrays, ephemera such as travel maps and postcards to old tropical furnishings, vintage Florida license plates and Aloha shirts. A great chance to update your tropical tiki decor and wardrobe. Plus, meet and mingle with the Florida Highwaymen artists, including James Gibson, Issac Knight, Al Black, Robert Lewis and Roy McLendon Sr. Enjoy Florida authors and exhibitrs by area historical societies. Tiki Bree will be appearing as The Florida Orange Juice Girl, greeting attendees at the door with a sip of sweet Florida orange juice. Tourism films from the 1950's will be shown continually throughout the day (think strong men wrestling gators, Florida gals swimming as mermaids), as well as a film on the history of the Florida Highwaymen. Cash bar all day, and great southern-style food by Smokin' Joe's Barbeque. Admission $6.00; children under two years old $3.00.

Enjoyed sifting through all the vintage goodies! That was my first trip to Gulfport. I will be back with the family soon. What a great place to hang out! We sometimes grab our laptops and work from where ever. Cuz we can. I think a satellite office in Gulfport may happen soon.
