eBay: Tildon Ware Green TIKI MUG (not my auction)

Pages: 1 17 replies

An incredibly beautiful two-faced green handled mug that I've never seen before, from a Manufacturer that I've never heard of before:

Wonderfully different, to me at least; anyone else ever see anything like this?

LT

That was cast from a Duncan hobby mold.

R

i have that same green mug. it says tildenware canada on the bottom.it does look like a duncan mold but the glaze is really even with no pops or skips. overall a pretty nice mug!!!

LT

I wonder Tildenware originated the design and Duncan picked it up.

R

i also have a caramel/tan one with hawaii pp(polynesian pottery) on the bottom

R

found another one--this one is flat black-- this one i believe is a duncan.. although the glaze is also really good this one has (ks 69) on the bottom--tiki farm also made one like this but without the handle-- i have it in lt brown.

Cool job PAL!

It looks identical to the mug Tiki Farm put out 5-6 years ago.. "The Two Face mug"
but without the handle.. I believe the original was a Daga design...

Always loved this mug..

I have one from GoTiki, without the handle. The glaze work is really nice.

I have a red one with no handle that says "Mandarin Palace" on it and one side and "Hawaii" on the other side.

LT

I spotted this beauty on eBay last night.

Have you ever been painting and it felt so good you just couldn't stop?

I noticed you didn't post a link. You're hoping no one else bids and you'll get the Painter's Delight mug for a steal, huh?

Actually it's a BIN item, and still available! Only $9.99 + shipping. You want? :D

Ouch, that hurts, take it away!
A fine example of how the painting of Tiki mugs is as equally wrong as the painting of Tiki carvings.

I've got a homemade smaller version of this mug with a nice green glaze.

Here is what I found tonight. It has Tildon Ware on the bottom.

So I am curious...are these actually Tiki or are they Totems?
