The ultimate fou-fou drink - The Espanto Wave

Pages: 1 6 replies

While traveling in Belize recently, I discovered a very nice rum drink. I'll warn you, there is a blender invloved.... but it's quite tasty nonetheless. Check it out, folks. http://rumconnection.com/uncategorized/espanto-wave/

Enjoy!

Wow! Curacao and triple sec????

I presume the Curacou is just for color. It works!

If the Curacao is for color then you should probably revise the recipe to call for Blue Curacao.

Ble Curacao gives me a headache but the other doesn't.

Probably something to do with the brain drugs of my youth.

Sounds like you have a nice little way to inspire a fond memory (of a great afternnon with your friend in belize). I must admit, with 3 oz of liqueurs and dark rum (notable for their caramel tones), perhaps it might be a tad on the sweet side.

You're right, it is a pretty sweet drink. Take caution to only imbibe on sunny days with good friends and good tunes.
