News of an older Polynesian-styled apartment complex in La Habra, CA (east of Whittier) - sadly it is now re-designed. .... *Tiki Gardens had suffered from years of deferred maintenance and severe blighted conditions. Upgrades were made to each apartment unit, and the former "Polynesian-style" facade was converted to a Spanish architectural-style, which is the predominate style for La Habra Boulevard. With the transformation was a name change to Casa Nicolina. * http://www.whittierdailynews.com/news/ci_11911140 If you put the following address in google maps, the street view option will show remanants of any former glory, particularly the A-framed structure. 1510 W La Habra Blvd, La Habra, Orange, California 90631 |

Dang, Vern, I'm bummed I missed that one in time to catch the name ON the building, the term TIKI on apartments was relatively rare. Zulu, did you know about this place? |
