Barnes and Nobles are sponsoring a meet-and-greet and question-and-answer session to help commemorate both the 60th anniversary of South Pacific's premiere on Broadway (first performance was on April 7th, 1949), and to promote the release of the South Pacific movie on Blue-Ray DVD.
Guests will include
- Mitzi Gaynor, who played Nellie in the movie
- Loretta Ables Sayre, who plays Bloody Mary in the current Broadway revival
- Original Broadway cast member BarBara Luna, Michael DeLeon, and Noel DeLeon (played the role of Emeril's children - they're the ones who sing 'Dites Moi' at the show start)
- Laurence Maslon, Broadway historian and author of the book 'The South Pacific Companion'
