Nice little article in today's Honolulu Star Bulletin discussing carved wood perfume bottles produced from the '30s through the '60s: http://www.starbulletin.com/features/featuresstories/20090417_carved_scentsations.html Certainly more Hawaiiana than tiki, but there is a tiki bottle: Along with standard Hawaii imagery: I'd never really thought about these perfume containers, although I have run across them. Always interesting to see what other collect. |

Here's one of mine. I nice little hibiscus flower. The bud pulls out where the bottle is held. |
