I am thoroughly disgusted...

...with myself, for lowering the bar with such SHAMELESS self-promotion. However, I read in the guidelines for the 'Ohana' section of the forum that one of its uses is for 'personal news', so I'm hoping this SHAMELESS SELF-PROMOTION counts as 'personal news'.

Just to let you all know that, earlier this year, I got the amazing news that my first novel, DOLE, (not the pineapples - sadly - but 'dole' as in the welfare system under Thatcher) is being published in the Fall. I have a Facebook 'fan page' for it, and both my agent and my publisher are bugging me to 'add more fans'. Well, as we're all 'ohana', I figured I'd tug at your heartstrings and try to persuade all of you on facebook to 'become a fan' (I've been wedged at 197 for ages, which doesn't look encouraging for my publishers!)
