Pages: 1 4 replies

This is my first posting here, and I believe I did this properly...
Anyways, I am a huge fan of all things Tiki and old school Horror.
So I thought why not combine the 2 for what I hope to be an awesome and unique event in the chicagoland area??
Below is the info for the event.
There are drink specials, a make-up artist on hand that will do your make-up for a small fee if you don't wish to do it yourself, and even a special Vegie dish for those that do not partake in meat.
Proper retro atire is recomended, but not required.

sounds like fun and i probably would have gone to this, but the los straightjackets are playing in town that night and i made plans to go see em'......I hope the event turns out well for you ...maybe you can do another one later in the year...if not at the tiki terrace, maybe at one of the other tiki bars we have left here in chicago...

also, it helps to check various event calenders to make sure events you plan don't conflict with other tiki events or tiki related events going on either in or outside the city/state......after all, the tiki scene is small here in the midwest and you want full support for an event as opposed to having people torn between 2 events going on at the same time...which translates to less attendance of tiki folk at either event and tiki people feeling bummed out that they will miss an event. good luck with this!!...hope to make it out there next time.

that sounds awesome.
i am jealous!

This sounds like great fun. Unfortunately, I cannot make it tonight...but I hope it is a smash and that you do it again!

Thank you all for the kind words and encouragement!

I do alot with the horror/film/haunted attraction lot (make-up and special effects artist and entertainer) so am always looking for new and fun things to do.

I am just really glad that Scott, Phill and everyone at Tiki Terrace were kind enough to let me combine two of my fave things to mae this event!

My goal for next year is to do a small car show out front as well with some of the local car clubs. There was just no time for it this year to get everything organized.

big breath

ok, time to get the last few things together for tonight!
Hope to see you all there next time! (I swear I will post about the event earlier! lol)
