This is my first posting here, and I believe I did this properly... On Sunday, May 24, get ready to party like it’s 1959 at RETRO ZOMBIE TIKI TERROR!, a night of zombie fun set in the tiki wonderland that is The Tiki Terrace in Des Plaines, IL. RETRO ZOMBIE TIKI TERROR! will feature a Polynesian floor show, Zombie Pinups Beauty Pageant, Zombie Costume Contest, raffles, prizes, zombie movies, tiki tunes and, of course, delicious tiki drinks! Tentative itinerary (subject to change): •6:00 - 10:00 : All ages welcome! Tickets are $15.00 in advance, $20.00 at the door. Ticket does NOT include food or drinks. The Tiki Terrace has a full menu of Polynesian-themed food. RETRO ZOMBIE TIKI TERROR! will take place from 6:00 pm to 2:00 am on Sunday, May 24, at the Tiki Terrace, 1591 Lee St., Des Plaines, IL 60018, approximately 4 minutes north of O’Hare International Airport. Tiki Terrace is located at the NE Corner of Lee/Manheim and Oakton. RETRO ZOMBIE TIKI TERROR! is presented and hosted by Kitty Zombie, ChicagoZombie.com, ZombiePinups.com and Zombie Army Productions. •The Tiki Terrace : http://www.thetikiterrace.com All tickets are to be picked up the night of the event, so have ID and confirmation number ready when you get to the event. |

sounds like fun and i probably would have gone to this, but the los straightjackets are playing in town that night and i made plans to go see em'......I hope the event turns out well for you ...maybe you can do another one later in the year...if not at the tiki terrace, maybe at one of the other tiki bars we have left here in chicago... also, it helps to check various event calenders to make sure events you plan don't conflict with other tiki events or tiki related events going on either in or outside the city/state......after all, the tiki scene is small here in the midwest and you want full support for an event as opposed to having people torn between 2 events going on at the same time...which translates to less attendance of tiki folk at either event and tiki people feeling bummed out that they will miss an event. good luck with this!!...hope to make it out there next time. |

Thank you all for the kind words and encouragement! I do alot with the horror/film/haunted attraction lot (make-up and special effects artist and entertainer) so am always looking for new and fun things to do. I am just really glad that Scott, Phill and everyone at Tiki Terrace were kind enough to let me combine two of my fave things to mae this event! My goal for next year is to do a small car show out front as well with some of the local car clubs. There was just no time for it this year to get everything organized. big breath ok, time to get the last few things together for tonight! |
