I have a matchbook and an ashtray from Port O' Three. You can see that they used Chin Tiki's logo tiki on the back of the matchbook. |

I have that matchbook, nice ashtray. I never noticed on the back of the matchbook that the restaurant was opened by Marvin Chin - the founder of Chin Tiki! He had another restaurant called Chin's in Livonia, which opened in 1955, and is still open today (see post below) http://www.tikicentral.com/viewtopic.php?topic=4850&forum=2 Why haven't we heard more about this one??? I scored this gigantic never-been-used menu from the Port O' Three restaurant. Cover graphics same as Tiki Kate's matchbook. Inside of the menu folded out and pieced together.

Awesome menu DC. Another Michigan classic that has a bit of mystery to it. |

According to my information from a "Chin" source this restaurant was meant to cater to the "gentler" sex. It was not in business very long. |
