Rapa Nui Moai Bird Cult Tiki

This pendant was inspired by the 288 Moai statues that can be found
on the island of Rapa Nui also known as Mata-Ki-Te-Rani
Translated means “Eyes looking at Heaven” It is a very fitting name,
as the Moai almost seem to forever stare across the island at the horizon, Perhaps to bear witness the constellations as they rise from the sea to cross the heavens.
It is my tribute to an ancient mysterious race of seafarers

This Moai Bird Cult pendant I have created is the “Red Hat” Tiki
This is my most recent Tiki, it is approximately 1 5/8 in. in height,
1/2 inc. in width and 3/8ths inches in thickness. It weighs approximately 30 grams. It comes suspended from a 30 inch length 2mm natural leather necklace. The “hat” is removable, eventually I will offer a 14kt gold replacement hat for those interested in such an upgrade.
The carving on the reverse lower back is of two birds, the original carving was found on rocks adjacent to the places where the Moai’s stand

I do not stock this Tiki, each Tiki is made to order.
Please allow at least ten days from completion of transaction
to complete the casting and polishing processes.

Personalized it, up to three initials can be carved into the back
(TC only, not offered on ebay)
