Ame restaurant at the St. Regis Hotel in San Francisco will be presenting a night of tiki dining on Wednesday, July 15. There will be three courses, each expertly paired with a different exotic cocktail. How great that a restaurant of this caliber recognizes and celebrates the merits of tiki culture! This promises to be a wonderful experience as chef Hiro Sone has been recognized on multiple occasions by the James Beard Foundation for his culinary excellence and co-owner, Lissa Doumani ("The Pastry Princess) is serious about the authenticity and pedigree of the drinks to be served. Both Lissa and Hiro were part of Wolfgang Puck's kitchen team in the early 1980s that made Spago the sensation that it has become. They are also frequent haunts at The Wiki Wiki Grog Shop and will certainly give this night the tiki respect that it deserves. The meal will be $55 per person(including booze!)
