http://www.sneakysunday.com/boise/bars-clubs/best-dive-bar/ p.s. I feel for you brother. Being stuck in the middle of nowhere on a job with no friends or family, blows. |

Go drink beer in a bar. Then make friends with American Indians and tell us about it. Ride a horse, take pics of flowers and the mountains then talk to a tree. Go see a beaver in a pond. You can do it. |

Hi Guys, for future reference---Here's a great place to go for drinks/dinner when visiting Boise: http://www.reefboise.com/reef/our_story.cfm Nice Tiki themed bar with great food a terrific drinks. We had Zombies and Trader Vics Mai Tais and they were grrrrreat. They have live music on a cool stage and have an outdoor roof seating area that was just awesome in the summer. My wife and I were on our way back from Yellowstone and stopped there to 'rest'. Also--- A nice place to stay overnight in Boise is the Anniversary Inn. Has all kinds of really cool themed rooms. http://www.anniversaryinn.com/boise Try this room: http://www.anniversaryinn.com/boise/room/14-south-pacific Or this room: http://www.anniversaryinn.com/boise/room/27-swiss-family-suite Or this room: http://www.anniversaryinn.com/boise/room/31-treasure-island-suite We just stumbled (figuratively) :) into both places and had a great time. |
