Aloha,
Mahalo Virani and to everyone watching/bidding on this one of kind item. I have been unable to find out really anything about the artist who created it in Tahiti around 1988... I was quite conflicted about selling "Matamura 88," but sometimes the real world intrudes upon paradise. For me, this is one of those times. I've already excellently packed and double boxed it for shipping on Monday. That way, I don't have to look at it and regret my actions. I am sure it will go to a good home and hope that the winner will cherish it as much as I have over the years. (FYI-My other auctions that closed two days earlier will ship at the same time.) Good luck to you all and may the gods bless you. Phillip |

I know Matamua is tahitian for "autrefois", meaning : "in the old days", or in the ancient time. It seems Matamua is an art gallery in Papeete. This mug was then maybe for sell in this place : GALERIE MATAMUA |
