PHX: Sun. 10/18/09 Tiki Lounge Party 3!

Experience the Polynesian swank of yesteryear on Sunday, October 18th as Phoenix's Rhythm Room is transformed into a tropical oasis for the 3rd Annual Zog's Tiki Lounge Party. This year's event will feature four killer surf rock acts, Ukulele Ray and the KoKoNutz, legendary Hawaiian lounge singer Ernie Menehune, high-energy Hawaiian and Tahitian dance ensembles, a Fender Ukulele Workshop, DJs spinning vinyl exotica, live tiki carving, hot rods, choppers and bobbers from Sucker Punch Sallys, local tiki crafts and lowbrow artists, island BBQ, exotic drink specials, door prize giveaways, and so much more! Since its inception, Zog's Tiki Lounge Party has been a charity event and this year a raffle will be held to benefit local nonprofit Ear Candy. Doors will open at 3:00 PM and entertainment will continue until close.

The onstage lineup includes:

+++ The Surfside IV
+++ The ASU Hawai'i and Pacific Islander Dancers
+++ Ernie Menehune and His Polynesian Revue
+++ Fender Ukulele Workshop
+++ Ukulele Ray and the KoKoNutz
+++ Shrimp Chaperone
+++ Thee Jaguar Sharks
+++ DJ T-Ray and DJ Zippy
+++ Emcee Ukulele Ray

Proceeds from the charity raffle will benefit local 501C(3) non-profit organization Ear Candy. 100% of the money raised will be used to provide musical education and instruments to underserved schools. As well, Ear Candy will be accepting musical instruments for the children at their donation station.

Too bad I was out of town, I would have been hip to that tiki expedition .
