Trader Vic's 151 Proof Rum

Has anyone tried this? I bought a bottle a couple of weeks ago, but haven't opened it yet. I seem to recall another thread saying Cruzan was making Trader Vic rums, so I assume this is similar, if not identical, to Cruzan 151. At about $16 at Ralphs grocery store, I could't beat the price, especially with Bacardi 151 usually going for $25-$28. I was thinking about using some of it as a basis for a homemade pimento dram.

I have also read here on TC somewhere that Cruzan is making Trader Vics rums.

I really don't think that could be true.
I'm not positive but I think its more along the lines of the Bat company.

You can use Trader Vics to replace Puerto Rican rum. In general its almost as good as the Bat company. The 151 does work fine.
