It's too late to enter to competition, but tickets to attend are $12 and include tastings of the six, pre-selected 'top' punches and "nibbles." Although they don't mention it, I'm sure the admission price also includes partaking in the THRILL and HEAT of fierce, fierce punch competition. With the holidays upon us, I'm thinking that this will be a good time to pick up a punch recipe or two for my holiday fetes. To get a sense of the competition, here is the primary rule: Punches must contain spirits, spices, sugar, citrus, and some weak element. It does not need to use rum.
