Cool collection, I think I see a suffering bastard in there. I wonder if they could make more money by splitting 'em all up. I also wonder where all that stuff came from.

Hit "view seller's other items". Apparently he's cleaning house in a BIG way, even selling the Dali!

I think I see a suffering bastard in there

but the suffering bastard in the picture is an all black mug like the ones made by tiki-farm, aren't original suffering bastards black with a white interior?
Looks like a lot of the mugs are modern.
basically you could be paying about $30 a mug, $30 for a archie mcphee mug?

Hmmm...

If I wanted to spend $4500 at one time on tiki items, I think I'd rather buy one tiki at around $400 each from the following carvers:

Leroy
ChikiTiki
CrazyAl
Bosko
Keigs20
Gecko
Basement Kahuna (1 tiki plus 2 weapons)
Tikifille
KenTiki
TikiTony

hmm....maybe I will!

If I had 4,500 to drop on tiki I would have a huge moai carved with an open mouth big enough to frame a door so that I could put it at my front door and walk into the moais mouth everytime I got home.

speaking of moais did any of the Mondo attendees cathch the 20 FT moai with a br built into the base at the cra show over at Viva Las Vegas? It's eyes flashed red and smoke came out it's ears, very cool.

I wonder if it would or would not have the same negative affect (feng shui-wise) as walking through a lion's mouth. Remember, MGM use to have guests walk through a lion's mouth at their entrance, but according to Asian legend, it is extremely bad (luck) to have to walk through an image of a mouth, particularly the lion at the entrance of MGM. The hotel spent millions reconfiguring that entrance to reclaim the Asian gamblers confidence. FYI~many of the hotels, casinos, and even restaurants have hired Feng Shui Masters since then to make sure that everything configured in their establishment reflects positive "chi". We have (literally) dozens of feng shui books here at my house, and the wife is a Lillian Too (feng shui master) student.

I wonder if FuturaGirl covered this little bit of info on her Las Vegas tour.

Sounds like this place in Florida might not have very good "chi" then.

You mean like this house?

BTW - I did see that Moai bar - very cool indeed!

I don't know at the price I would think that a complete listing of the entire collection is warranted.

Which reminds me does anyone have special insurance riders for their tiki collections. I wonder if there is a rider that would need to include "inebriated friends".

Hey SugarCaddyDaddy,

I don't think you have to pay $400 for an original Leroy Schmaltz tiki. He did a custom 5-foot California-style tiki for me last spring and only charged me $240 for it.
Yeah, you read right. $240

I do love that e-bay collection, but would rather invest in real estate. The hunt for tiki is something I relish to do for myself, even if it means digging through someone's garage sale garbage.

AquaRJ~ Nope, not too good if you ask me.

PolyPop~Squidwards chi isn't too good either. Ever notice how miserable he is all the time?

I like Shuggacaddy!

Man, if my son saw that shark place he would spend all his saved up money in there!
That's it SCD I'm taking all your puffer fish-you don't want the bad chi! Has feng shui brought you happiness and contentment in your home???? (needless to say, I don't believe in that crap)
