what to do with palm fronds?

Today, I was doing some building maintenance at the local Catholic church. I saw a church volunteer throw away a softball size bundle of green palm fronds left over from Palm Sunday. I dug them out of the dumpster but now need ideas of what to do with them. They are about 3 feet long. Anyone?
