Yesterday I went to this Julius Shulman exhibit .

Muy chula. Lots of eye candy.

I would like to know more about this place showed on one of the pictures.

Sorry about the poor image quality. The exhibit´s catalog sucks and couldn´t find a better one on the internet, so uploaded tje picture I took from Shulman´s picture.
Any info on that Outrigger Room sharing space with Dan´s Coffee?.
Are there any other Shulman´s pictures of related Tiki places?

Coffee Dan's was one of the many cool mid-century Coffee Shop chains in Los Angeles. Best source of info is Alan Hess' "Googie", now updated as "Googie Redux". Here is a TC thread that mentions it:

Was the exhibition in Spain, or in LA?
Julius Schulman was an incredible LA photographer!

I saw this exhibit at the L.A. County Library in downtown L.A. in either 2008 or 2009.

Man, that is some awesome architecture! Whatever happened to such quality? Why must the appeal [almost] always be targeted at the lowest common denominator??
