Trader Vics - AZ - Tiki Drinks and Food

D Dapuma1 Member Joined: May 04, 2010 Posts: 115	D Dapuma1 Posted posted on Tue, May 4, 2010 9:17 PM Going to be going to Trader Vics this weekend for the first time and wanted to know if there were certain drinks that they make very well (not from a mix) or certain drinks not so well (mix) I am going to stay away from a Mai Tai and a Zombie because I have all the ingredients to make those on my own and I have much better rums than TV is going to use, so no reason to repeat what I am going to make. Is there something that i "must" try or someone in my party should. We will have 5-6 of us there so I would like to recommend some drinks to everyone else as well. Are any of their party libations for the table good? Discuss :) I read on chowhound TV does not do free refils on soda...is that accurate...not that anyone will be drinking soda heh A couple items that sound interesting to try are: Is there planters punch legit? Luau Grog (is this the same as navy grog?) Dr Funk (is this the same as dr wong?) suffering bastard (sounds cool) Nui Nui oh yeah and is a coffee grog actually good?

They just are so good. I've had an old style navy grog as well that was quite good. I don't think I've had anything that I hated by any means.
