Description:
Lava Lagoon was a tropical Tiki themed water park intended to be a part of a 1995 expansion to the Disneyland Resort in Paris. Designs were drafted up beginning in 1990 and included lazy rivers, wave pools and water slides centered around a huge man made volcano. To provide year round use, much of the park, including the volcano, was to be under a giant glass and steel dome. By 1993, unforeseen financial problems altered the expansion plans and Lava Lagoon has yet to be built.
