60's Sony Electronics 14 inch tall Tiki

On a recent trip to Oregon I found the Tiki for sony electronics in a store on the Oregon Coast.

Ok, I gotta ask...Is it a stereo speaker, ipod dock, mini tv????? Or just a Tiki? Either way, it's cool. Just curios.

The Tiki is 14 inches tall and is just a tiki. I do not know much about it.

Isn't this a 'Headphone stand' from the early 90s?

I'm sure Sony used Moais wearing headphones in their advertising around that period...
