Oh no! The Kraken got my boat!

Remember that time you found that treasure map and after months of searching you finally found it only to have the Kraken smash your boat and leave you stranded with your newly aquired chest of treasure?
Good times. Good times.

This is what I did over my extended weekend. I got in a zone and didn't stop until it was finished. The wife would yell down to the shop once in a while and ask if I wanted to do such and such with her and the boys. Not now! Maybe later!
It feels good when the piece takes over and doesn't let you go.

This piece is accounted for, but please let me know if you'd like anything similar.
Christmas will be here before you know it!

Too cool! Diggin the pirate babe!
Let's see what's in the chest!

Carved from wood - ARRRR-SOME!!!!!

F

Thank you guys!
Yeah, it's all wood. Pine, Bass, Mahogany, and an unknown wood for the chest.
Everything is pegged together too, so it's more sturdy than you would think.

I love the chess set. What's the wait on one? Please email me at [email protected].

F

Thank you Redwood Tiki! I could have a chess set to you in about 2 weeks. Just let me know if you're interested.

I am totally in love with this piece! (like I am with most of your stuff....)

I really like the blockiness of the pirate girl, especially her hair. It makes me think of a boardgame piece for some reason. The whole thing of being able to tell a little story is just so amazing, and something I would have never thought about.

Thank you everybody. I will be posting more soon.

Just visited the Leeward Lounge for the first time in a long time. :)
You've done some great and fun pieces over the years, the Tourism dept would call it
"something special from Wisconsin."

Thanks Conga! I wish I kept it up to date. I'm actually working on a new site that's not a blog site. I'll let everyone know when I get that far.
