Hello from San Diego! My wife and I live in OB and Borrego Springs. The Borrego place is 1948 adobe, furniture is '40s-'50s rattan. We are starting to refinish it all so joined TIKI to swap restoration info as it all goes along. Maybe we can pass information that will help others as we go. If you go to http://www.qrz.com and do a search for KG6UTS there is a picture and a bit of personal info. The beer was found floating in the Sea of Cortez 700 miles down Baja and soon consumed.

Cheers!

Ed,

Welcome aboard. Try the search function here on Tiki Central, there are a bunch of posts on refinishing rattan.

Here's one from 1961 Surf, the King of Rattan.
