3 sets, 3 hours and not sharing stage time with other bands ... nothing but the Insects in a small, intimate venue. Kind like a room party, just with better drinks! I can't wait!!

Can't make it for the Saturday show, but I'll see you on Sunday at the Hotel Utah!

SO glad that there are tons of folks who love Forbidden Island and will go there not only to support the bar but luck out and get to see you guys in such an intimate settiing.

Cant wait to see you JonPaul!!

Hope your show tonight was a great one and you have energy left for the rest of the weekend :)

Soooo excited to have the boys in the house today! Jonpaul and Adrien are both personal friends of mine and this show has been in the planning stage for some time now. The band intends pulling all the stops for this and they've assured me that the Forbidden Island show will be the crown jewel of their Norcal tour. Mahalo!

The Insects are rockin' a packed house! Damn, these guys are good!
Highlights will be posed on You tube (in a week or so)

that was an awesome 3 hour set! I hadn't seen The Insect Surfers in about 10 years! Also in the audience were SF artist Dave Sturm and now-Pleasanton resident but former king of Surf Music on the airwaves in LA, Jim Dunfrund. Jim ran Surfwave on KXLU for about 20 years!!
For the last Insect Surfers set there was an all-star jam. First Martyn of the Mermen http://www.mermen.net/martyn.shtml sat in on one song, then later Danny of Meshugga Beach Party and Martyn joined in on a Link Wray tune http://www.meshuggabeachparty.com/

Insects are playing right now at Hotel Utah with Mach IV and Thee Swank Bastards
I hope they all come over to Forbidden Island after!

I was lucky enough to catch them at Forbidden Island and The Hotel Utah shows. Great shows guys thanks for coming up North.

For those that missed this incredible show, there are now 3 videos on You Tube, that really capture the energy and excitement of the performance. Enjoy!

Again, a huge MAHALO to the Insects for scheduling this incredible 3-hour show at Forbidden Island. Their award-winning CD is already on our jukebox and we look forward to their return in the not-too distant future.
