Ukulele History Question - Tiki Music

Among the selections I plan to play are “Kai Maia O Ka Maoli” by Frank Ferera & His Hawaiian Trio, with Helen Louise, from the collection: With My Little Ukulele in My Hand, which the liner notes say is the first-ever recording of a ukulele, dating from 1916. I also will play “Akahi Hoi” by the Hawaiian Quintette from the CD Box Set: It’s Hotter in Hawaii, which the notes on the box date to 1913. Unfortunately, the "Hotter in Hawaii" box set lacks liner notes of any kind and the date could be wrong. Is there anyone out there who knows which one these actually was the first to be recorded?
