New tiki cork carvings at The Waldorf Hotel in Vancouver - Other Events

My partner, artist Bob Scott, will be there selling our garage fanzine plus his new painted cork tiki carvings. (RIPE FOOT TIKI CORK CARVING 10" x 22" $200) (PINEAPPLE TIKI CORK CARVING 6" x 17" $100) There's also gonna be movies screened and a performance by Dame Darcy, but it's the Waldorf that really needs to be seen! It's a historic hotel in East Vancouver that houses Vancouver’s first tiki lounge (est. 1947). It's been recently renovated, including the Tahitian cocktail lounge with black velvet paintings by Edgar Leeteg and a giant mural of Hawaiian King Kamehameha. The zine fair and Bob's tikis will be for sale in the bamboo-covered Cabaret Room downstairs. If you're in Vancouver, come check it out... and stay for brunch!
